The reason I enjoy doing art is because, it's an outlet for me. It's my escape from reality, whenever I'm in a rut, I just pick up the a pen or brush and put it to work. Not just because it's my way to cope with my feelings or thoughts, but I enjoy learning new techniques within myself. I'll do one piece of art work and it'll turn out good, but then I'll start a new project and that piece becomes even better. Knowing how much I've grown from my art, I continue to do it because it gives my audience something to talk about.
The mediums I usually work with is ink and charcoal, why? Well I feel like I can get more detail when it comes to drawing, I can smear with charcoal, and I can be bold with pen. With paint I constantly have to blend to get the right color I want, and it frustrates me. With ink or charcoal, I can add more to my value. The more detail I add to my word, the more pleased I am with it. I feel like I can get my concept more across
What I plan on doing in my future is to continue my journey with my art, I want to be someone who wants to keep growing with their hobby and not have it be forgotten of what kind of talent I have. For my first start in my adult hood after high school I plan on going to UWGB to major in psychology and minor in art. I want to learn about the brain because it fascinates me, but still want to be something in art, so I want to go into art therapy.
.
It just amazes me how much I continue to grow, and how much my art has reached out to people. I got one of my art pieces into an art gallery called the Art Garage, and to be honest it was such an amazing feeling to have people observe and talk about my art work. You can get anywhere in life if you put your mind to it.
